SpeakWise Privacy Policy
Effective date: 29 September 2026
Introduction
Stimuler Private Limited ("Stimuler", "we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use our SpeakWise mobile application (the "App") for Android and iOS.
This policy applies only to SpeakWise. Stimuler's other products, including the Stimuler app, are covered by their own privacy policies.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Account information. You sign in to SpeakWise with Google or Apple. When you do, we receive your name, email address, profile picture (if your account has one), and an account identifier from that provider. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we receive a relay email address instead of your real one.
Voice recordings. When you practise, the App records your spoken answer and sends it, together with the practice question, to our servers for analysis. See "How We Process Your Voice Recordings" below.
Analysis results. Our analysis produces a transcript of your answer, scores, and feedback, which are sent back to the App and shown to you.
Usage data. Information about how you use the App, such as the screens and features you use, the feedback you give on your results, and the time of use. This is linked to your account identifier.
Device and diagnostic data. Your device model, operating system, app version, language, an app installation identifier, your IP address, your approximate location (such as your country or city), which Google Analytics works out from your IP address, and crash reports if the App stops working.
What we do not collect. SpeakWise does not collect your advertising identifier, precise location, contacts, or payment information, and it does not show ads.
How We Process Your Voice Recordings
- Recordings are sent over an encrypted connection to our servers and analysed by speech and language models that Stimuler operates itself. They are not sent to third-party AI providers.
- Our servers do not store your recordings or transcripts. They are processed to produce your results, then discarded.
- Our service logs keep only technical details of each analysis (your account identifier, an analysis identifier, and your scores) for up to 30 days, to troubleshoot problems and prevent abuse. They do not contain your audio or transcript.
- The temporary copy of the recording on your device is deleted once the analysis finishes.
- We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train or improve our models.
- We analyse your speech only to give you feedback. We do not create voiceprints or use your voice to identify you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the App, including analysing your recordings and showing you feedback.
- Maintain and improve the App, using aggregated usage statistics.
- Detect, prevent, and fix technical issues, security problems, and abuse.
- Respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
Legal bases (for users in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions). We process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the App and your feedback), for our legitimate interests (keeping the App secure, fixing crashes, and understanding how it is used in order to improve it), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where the law requires it.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We share information only in these situations:
Service providers. Companies that help us run the App, under contracts that limit how they may use your information:
- Google (Firebase): sign-in and account management, usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), crash reporting (Crashlytics), and app configuration. The App also downloads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, if you choose it.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosts our servers.
- Anyscale: hosts the infrastructure that runs our own analysis models.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request, such as a subpoena, court order, or government request.
Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, bankruptcy, or similar event, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
International Data Transfers
Stimuler is based in India, and our service providers operate in several countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country. Where the law requires it, we protect such transfers with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data Retention
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account information | Until you delete your account |
| Voice recordings and transcripts | Not stored after analysis (see above) |
| Service logs (account identifier, analysis identifier, scores) | Up to 30 days |
| Usage data (Google Analytics for Firebase) | 2 months |
| Crash reports (Crashlytics) | 90 days |
We may keep information longer where the law requires it, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time in the App: open Settings (the gear icon on the home screen) and choose Delete account. This permanently deletes your SpeakWise account and signs you out. If you signed in with Apple, it also revokes SpeakWise's access to your Apple ID.
You can also request deletion without the App through speakwise.stimuler.tech/delete-account, or by emailing us at support@stimuler.tech.
When you delete your account, we delete your account information immediately. Usage data, crash reports, and service logs linked to your account are deleted automatically when their retention periods above end.
Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it as soon as possible.
Third-Party Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will also tell you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
